Hola Everybody,
We have arived in Mexico and there is so much to blog about I don't even know where to start!
Many people say its the jouney not the destination that counts; however, most of my journey was spent looking at the back of my eyelids. We had to wake up around 4:30 AM and I am NOT a morning person so I didn't really prosses much before coffee.
When we arrived on the plane to San Antonio I cracked open a book, popped in some music and read for a good hour. Then it was lights out from there. Then second plane ride involved the same with a brother jacked up on sugar.
Then we arrived in Mexico!
A driver picked us up from the airport and drove us an hour to our condo (at which point my brother crashed). Once at our condo we settled in and were given instructions by our German friend and the owner of the condo.
From there we left to get food which included tacos, tacos, and more tacos. We walked back to the condo, relized that we were exsusted, and went to bed.
First Full Day
The first full day did not start quite as early and after a good cup of joe I was ready to get going.
Our friend picked us up from the condo and took us to Turtle Bay (or thats what we call it). She is a diver for a living so she took her day off to snorkel with us. After a lot of pulling, shoving, and a few tears (not really) I stuffed my body into a wet suit. Let me tell you it will not be happening again unless someone ties me to a chair and shoves it on me themselves.
Once we got into the water it all seamed woth it. The turtles were magnificent. Their shells looked like pastel fireworks and a few swam up in front of us to get air. What was even more amazing to me were the reefs. Fish swam all around them and eels poked their heads out of the coral. Even the plants were beautiful. It makes you wonder what else is in the 90 percent of un discovered ocean.
All in all the places are beautiful, the food is amazing, and the culture is waiting to be discovered.
P.S. Pictures will be coming soon!
